Laser Marking Systems : Materials
Most any type of metal can be engraved, before or after heat treating
and coating processes. Most types of plastics and ceramics can also be
marked. Glass, fiberglass, filled epoxies, composites, wood, paper, rubber
and most synthetic materials including chemically inert materials can
be readily marked with laser.
Laser can mark in a line or radially, on flat or gently curved surfaces
or around tubular stock. Characters can be up to 7" high (20"
high in wood paper and plastics).
A Few Laser Markable Materials
- Steels -- mild, alloy, hardened, stainless
- Aluminum -- bare, anodized, T6061
