Micro Hole Drilling


For this application process, use this solution:

High-volume manufacturers of polyethylene, polyester, polypropylene, Nylon™, vinyl, PTFE and other plastic films, sheets and tubes now can use Alase Technologies' laser drilling systems for in-line or off-line microhole perforation of their products.

  • Typical hole size is 0.100mm (0.004"), although this can be varied depending on the application.
  • A complete 40-hole array pattern can be drilled in as little as 1/3 of a second (depending on material).
  • Patterns can be lines or areas.
  • Minimum hole spacing is 0.200mm (0.008") center-to-center.
  • Pattern area ranges up to 0.5 meter x 0.5 meter.
  • Material thickness range is from 0.001" to 0.040
