Decorative Marking
The advertising specialties industry has recently seen a major upsurge
of decorative laser engraving - laser offers exceptional flexibility in
engraved content: low volumes of parts and even one-offs can be marked
economically.
Metal Marking
Since laser engraving is a non-contact process, it can be used to mark
parts that would normally be damaged by impact and/or vibratory marking
methods. Laser marks are made permanent either by engraving or annealing
of the base material. A laser marking system can engrave directly into
metals or through a top coating (ablation) allowing the material underneath
to show through.
Micro Hole Drilling
With mark on the fly capabilities in combination with high-speed galvanometer
based scanners, Alase Technologies’ laser achieve high throughput
in micro-hole drilling and perforation applications. For thin plastic
films, sheets and tubes, Alase Technologies' laser systems can be configured
for both in-line or off-line processing.
Coding and Identification
Any product requiring permanent sequential numbering, from cow ear tags
to brass locker numbers are marked with laser - laser systems automatically
serialize, numerals can be marked boldly and attractively, laser systems
can periodically increment batch numbers, and mark and serialize barcodes.
Medical Device Marking
Medical devices require laser marking that is permanent, and traceable
with high contrast and minimal surface change. Our proprietary software
provides precise control of laser power so that high contrast marks with
insignificant surface change can be assured. Winlase software downloads
each part into an archival file for permanent traceability.
